Perplexity rolled out a major update for iOS, giving iPhone users access to its new AI Voice assistant.
The upgrade lets users search, ask questions, and get conversational answers hands-free — offering an alternative to Siri at a time when Apple’s AI endeavors are less than impressive. Here’s a great blog post on how to use Perplexity’s Voice Assistant on iOS.
However, Perplexity isn’t exclusive to one operating system…
Motorola announced that its new Razr, Razr Plus, and Razr Ultra phones will be shipped with Perplexity’s AI app pre-installed.

Google Public Sector and Palantir announced a partnership to modernize government technology.
Palantir’s FedStart platform — built to fast-track secure tech projects — will now run on Google Cloud’s infrastructure, with Anthropic’s AI tools layered in. The goal is to replace outdated systems with faster, safer, AI-enabled solutions.
Much of the U.S. government relies on legacy technology built decades ago. These aging systems are slow, expensive, and vulnerable to cyber threats. AI adoption and cloud services are critical for national security, efficiency, and resilience.
This partnership offers a pathway to bring federal operations into the 21st century - a long overdue upgrade.
Boom Supersonic announced it will test its new Symphony engine at the Colorado Air and Space Port.
Symphony is a medium-bypass turbofan built specifically for Boom’s Overture airliner, aiming to achieve supersonic flight without a ground-detectable sonic boom.
The company will invest $3 – 5 million to upgrade the Air and Space Port, with initial core engine testing beginning later this year. Full-scale testing is expected in 2026.
Located near Boom’s Denver headquarters, the facility will be the first independently owned supersonic engine test site. Read Boom’s latest press release here.
Switzerland switched on the world’s first operational solar power plant built on an active railway track.
Developed by Sun-Ways, the pilot project installs removable solar panels between the rails, generating clean energy without disrupting train service.
If deployed across the country’s 5,000km of railway, this system could deliver up to 2% of Switzerland's total electricity needs — and power 30% of its public transport.
This is a breakthrough for renewable energy and transportation infrastructure — without using an inch of new land.
